The Brand Connective was founded by Katiedid Langrock. Langrock spent over a decade working as a television writer. She is also a published author and writes a weekly humor column, which is syndicated in newspapers across the USA and Canada. Over the years, Langrock developed and refined a method for emotional connective attachment. The daughter of a science teacher and a respected psychologist, Langrock used her upbringing, as well as her year working as an adventure tour guide in the Outback, to create a teachable sensory stimulation technique rooted in psychological and neurological science. It’s fun, too! This technique systematically brings forth personal emotions, memories and stories in a repeatable and engaging way.
Langrock first applied The Brand Connective technique to a business when she was the sole story development executive for a Fortune 500 toy company. Already in charge of story for entertainment, she applied her cohesive and comprehensive story branding process across marketing, advertising, licensing, PR, social, web, product copy and sales on what was being referred to as a “suicide brand.” The result was a grand slam, with a nomination for toy of the year and an Emmy nomination for best children’s series.
